My “studio mouse” stitching memoir is taking shape. @windfallarts 😁

Not likely I’ll forget the studio mouse invasion, but just in case… @windfallarts Look. A dream come true.

This was my project yesterday afternoon; clean off my old drafting table. This is a vintage drafting table that I got from a tech school sale. The top is a piece of leftover countertop. But, I’ve had this for over 30 years, using it in my sewing room with my cutting mat. I have a new rolling table (currently piled) with cutting mats, so this one has been my collector table…whatever I didn’t want to put away or didn’t have a good space for. In our #soothingstitchcircle with @ekta_kaul , our prompt was a little different this month. Ekta encouraged us to prepare our spaces for creativity. I loved seeing how different members stored stuff and how they transformed their spaces to work better for them. My space…while very big, is small disaster right now, only partly because of the mice. I almost have that situation under hand…just a few more loads of wash and a few hours of untangling and folding. But, I’m very proud of this surface. It’s going to be my writing and planning surface, in front of my studio’s picture window. One surface at a time, friends. I’d really like to wave a magic wand, but I’m afraid I have to go old school on this one. :) #creativespacestudio #creativespaces #minimizeclutter

Sourdough is so resilient. I forgot I had this loaf shaped on the counter, got ready for bed, and oh dear. So, I reshaped it, popped in the hot oven and pulled it out at midnight. It’s the loaf I made from the dried sourdough starter I tested last week.
