Everyone in my family loves a soothing lavender eye pillow, used cool for headache relief or tension, or warm for muscle stiffness. I’ve tried to make this easy enough for a beginning seamstress! Let me know if anything is not clear!
Personally, I love using an eye pillow when I take a nap or after a yoga session.
Details: Lavender eye pillows can be used cool or warm. You can simply throw rice in a cotton sock, and tie the end shut. But, if you want to give them as gifts, (they make a great gift,) or love the hygge way, you might want to choose a cotton print or even a lovely linen. And guess what? You can use upcycled fabric, or new! For the following instructions, I have a fat quarter of orange batik fabric, and scraps of cotton flannel. Let’s get started.
You will need 2 rectangles of fabric 5x11”, 1 1/2 cupswhite rice or flaxseed, and 1/2 cup dried lavender buds.
